| With the Communication Module comX 10CA-CCS the fifth netX-based product has successfully passed CC-Link Conformance test. The design leaves out the CC-Link ASIC MFP3, and the complete solution is based on the Multi-Protocol Chip netX10. For the netX-based Communication Module, the CLPA attests "Remote Device Station" functionality according to CC-Link version 2.0. The number of occupied stations, extension cycles as well as baud rate and I/O data is freely configurable in accordance with the specification. With comX, users benefits from a pre-certified CC-Link interface and, although netX-based, they can conduct a reduced device test during the certification of their complete application as usual. | With the Real-Time Ethernet Gateway EU5C-SWD-PROFINET Hilscher is presenting the first result of the strategic cooperation between the companies Eaton and Hilscher. The gateway enables Eatons intelligent control panel communication system SmartWire-DT connecting to Profinet. Supporting further Real-Time Ethernet protocols is planned. The gateway is easy to operate. Pushing the configuration button on the gateway’s front on-site starts the automatic configuration procedure. The connected SmartWire-DT network will be scanned, the constellation be saved and the SmartWire-DT devices data mapped into Profinet as modular I/O device. A GSDML configuration file configures the Profinet controller finally. Using Eaton’s free of charge available software SWD-Assist allows to plan, dimension and document the SmartWire-DT network offline. | The Hilscher GmbH as an expert for Fieldbus and Real-Time-Ethernet offers a test and evaluation kit for the six most common Real-Time-Ethernet systems. The kit is suitable for development, test labs and education. It contains a cifX master PC card, three NXIO slave test-devices and a netANALYZER as Ethernet analysis device. New is a variant with the portable netANALYZER device with ExpressCard interface. Furthermore, the kit contains Ethernet cables, power supply and master and slave firmwares for EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, POWERLINK (slave only), PROFINET and Sercos. Across a list coming, going and acknowledged alarms are getting now manageable. Improved has been also the project import of STEP7® symbols. All properties of the symbols like names, addresses, quantities can be modified after the import independent of the original project. | The PCI and PCI Express Cards from Hilscher have successfully passed the CC-Link Conformance test. Therewith cifX 50-CC and cifX 50E-CC are the third respectively fourth netX based product, which have achieved a certificate from CLPA. New to all designs is leaving out the CC-Link ASIC MFP3 and realizing the complete solution based on the universal network controller netX. For the netX based PC-Cards the CLPA attests “Remote Device Station” functionality according to CC-Link version 2.0. | The Communication Module comX 10 has been especially designed for devices, which need Fieldbus Slave connectivity. It impresses with a fast SPI connection to the host processor and rotary switches for address allocation. comX 10 reduces the integration effort as well as the part cost of the device manufacturer, since only a simple serial connection to the host needs to be realized. In addition the address switches allows an easy and reliable commissioning in the field. I/O data can alternately be transferred via a 50MHz SPI interface or an 8/16-bit parallel bus to the host processor. | As part of Hilscher’s control technology product update for their intelligent network controller chip netX the CoDeSys runtime and the development system have been both updated to version V3.5. This update enables customers configuring the fieldbus network directly within standard CoDeSys environment without Hilscher’s extra bus configurator plugin that was necessary to be used until now. This step simplifies installation and commissioning of the Slot PLC card NPLC-C100 or embedded module NPLC-M100 significantly. netX controller customers using it for control in own custom designs participate from this update as well. | AIDA, the association of leading German automobile manufacturers, has committed to PROFINET as their preferred network standard. Next to copper a fiber optic connection with extended diagnostics has been specified. Based on the demand by the automotive industry, Hilscher has expanded its product range of Communication Modules with COMX 50CA-REFO, a version supporting PROFINET I/O Device and including AIDA specified fiber optic transceiver. | With cifX 70E Hilscher has enhanced its PC-Card family by the format “Low Profile PCI Express”. The cards have a reduced height to be used in compact IPC or HMI terminals. Versions for PROFIBUS, CANopen, DeviceNet as well as Real-Time-Ethernet are available. Due to loadable firmware and software licenses the same hardware can alternatively be used as Master or Slave. For Real-Time-Ethernet actually 11 different protocol variants can be used on the same PC-Card. | Hilscher has expanded the series of Ethernet capable SIMATIC® MPI/DP/PPI adaptors by the DIN rail mountable device NT 50-MPI. 16 simultaneous Ethernet connections and the access to maximum 32 PLCs in parallel are supported. As a 100% replacement for an original Siemens S7 Ethernet-CP the device allows programming, remote maintenance and the connection of visualizations such as WinCC over Ethernet.
