SIMATIC S7 compatible Slot PLC card with PROFIBUS interface from Hilscher

3月 2010: Hilscher has now released the SIMATICS7 compatible Slot PLC card NPLC-C100-DP/S7 with PROFIBUS-DP interface. The card runs PC platform independent with its own processor. An external 24 Volts can be added to guarantee continuous operation during power outages of the PC. A battery is used to buffer volatile key registers in the event of power loss while a memory card slot enables quick data transfer of existing configurations into a spare unit in seconds.
For configuration the standard STEPS7 software from Siemens is used. The card is a proven alternative to S7-314/315 CPUs featuring PROFIBUS-DP. It transforms a PC into a full-size automation platform for safe control of the decentralized PROFIBUS peripherals with all the comfort of classic “Hard-PLCs” mounted on a rack.
